2019 Martin Woods Willamette Valley Gamay

Evan Martin, winemaker in the woods has a deft touch with Gamay.  If we have to compare this Gamay to its French iteration, an exercise in creating a reference point, we would call this a Burgundian style more than a Beaujolais style. This isn't glou glou down the hatch--there are layers and textures here plus a nice added touch of age which shows with more developed spices and dried fruits.
