Jean-François Nicq was introduced to the burgeoning natural wine movement by friends Thierry Puzelat, Marcel Lapierre and company. He with his sweet mule, Uma, farm organically on the French side of historical Catalogne, with the Pyrénées mountains in close view.
With 20 years of winemaking prowess, this is not a carbon copy commercially stamped rose, it’s light, delicate, alive, zipping with personality. We wish all roses were this delicious, although this minuscule 2000 bottle production wouldn’t feel special.
