Luigi Tecce wasn’t groomed to be a farmer, he worked in Rome as an assistant to a member of the Italian parliament. In ‘97, his father died and Luigi returned to the 4th generation farmhouse to care for the olive trees, goats, sheep, and of course, the vines. Today, he works his grandfather’s vineyards in relative solitude and is one of the region’s great traditionalists.
100% Aglianico, native yeast ferment, nothing is added or subtracted. Biodynamically farmed.
The single vineyard cru of Satyricon is in one of Taurasi’s highest altitude growing areas, with soil that’s layered with sand, limestone and Vesuvius’ pumice. Nuanced by aromatics of black fruit, herbs and earth, pair with cavatelli, spicy sausage, crispy sage, and brown butter.
