The Zusslin family has been making wines for 13 generations, since 1691. Marie Zusslin and her brother, Jean-Paul, run the estate today, which their father started farming biodynamically in 1997.
100% Auxerrois, related to Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc, often confused because of odd labeling laws. Sometimes 100% Auxerrois can be labeled as Pinot Blanc in Alsace! A vibrant wine, gold-colored with wet stone, mandarin skins and fleshy floral notes of jasmine blossom.
The vineyards are in the Southern part of Alsace in Orschwir on the Bollenberg, Clos Liebenberg (Monopole) and Pfingstberg Grand Cru hillsides. Aromatic, textured and complex – a true snapshot of Alsace at its best. A natural pairing for Thai food.
