The Howell Mountain is one of the great wines not just of California, but of the world. Randy Dunn, who started making wine in 1975 at Caymus, pitched his own tent atop Howell Mountain in 1979, which at the time was Napa’s viticultural Siberia. Time has proven him more than prescient.
Randy’s son Mike now handles the winemaking, along with his son Patrick Beatty, in conjunction with winemaker Bryan Kane. The vineyard is farmed bioharmonically – a philosophy that embraces a pursuit of balance with integrity.
