The brothers Brand, Daniel and Jonas have quickly brought attention to the far northern Pfalz, with a rather curious blend of youthful exuberance, a surplus of energy and an unflappable belief in the future of viticulture, tempered by a maturity that is surprising given their ages (90’s babies!).
This is the only single-vineyard Pinot Noir they make and it flaunts layers of fruit, both deep cherry and bright, tart notes with edgings of pine-needle resin and great herbal complexity and grip. This has a long life ahead of it. Certified organic since 2017, practicing biodynamics, using assorted soaps, oils, herbs and teas on the vines.
This Pinot from the limestone rich soils of the northern Pfaltz would be a beautiful pair for pork tenderloin or spaghetti carbonara.
