In 1984, a local named Régis Moro left his painting career and returned to his roots, farming Vieux Château Champs de Mars. He was named winemaker of the year in the 2000’s, yet commercial success eluded him. The property fell into mild disrepair. Purchased in 2022 by neighbors with similar ethos and practices (biodynamics, low intervention) multiple back vintages all the way back to 1999 were discovered and released.
Biodynamically farmed Cabernet Sauvignon (75%), Merlot (20%), and Petit Verdot (5%), unfiltered, unfined, with minimum sulphur use.
This pristine library release offers finely aged, beautifully complex Bordeaux. Notes of leather, fig and espresso. Pair with a mushroom risotto or classic roast chicken.
